As usual my mind was on what the subject for this week’s column would be. Nothing was happening.I decided to make a trip to St. Vincent’s in Jefferson. (St. Vinnie to us regulars.) I drove down the lake road, turned left on Highway A and right on Highway 12. I felt better right away.

| Crunch time owned by Cambridge | With only 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter and trailing Deerfield 48-45 last Saturday, Cambridge girls’ basketball head coach Mike Jeffrey knew his team needed to get the ball in the hands of one of the team’s top scorers, either junior Jazmynn Jarlsberg or freshman Monica Muth.
But how the next possession for the Lady Blue Jays would play out was entirely unbeknownst to Jeffrey and the rest of his team.
With 10 ticks left on the clock, junior forward Jazmynn Jarlsberg used two perfectly set screens to get herself open behind the three-point line on the right wing.
Jarlsberg rose, fired and knocked down a game tying three-pointer to send the game into overtime.
Using the momentum from Jarlsberg’s shot, the Blue Jays held off the Lady Demons in overtime, securing an important 57-54 victory.
